is Online Banking?
Online Banking is an electronic service that allows our customers to access
their personal accounts from anywhere in the world by using a computer and
having Internet access.
Online Banking is available online through our website at: www.alsalamseychelles.com.
Who
is eligible for Al Salam Seychelles Online Banking?
All individual Al Salam Bank Seychelles Ltd.’s (the “Bank”) customers
(account holders) are eligible for getting Online Banking access for their Bank
accounts. If you are an existing customer of the Bank, you are eligible to
register for Online Banking.
How
can I apply for Al Salam Seychelles Online Banking?
Applying for Online Banking is very simple. All you need to do is to fill-up
the Online Banking registration form (available at the Bank’s branch or any
other channels as deemed appropriate by the Bank) and submit it to the Bank,
duly filled-in and signed. In turn the Bank will provide you with a Channel
Reference Number, where you will then be required to enter such Channel
Reference Number where indicated on the Bank’s website under the Online Banking
section. You will then need to click the “New User? Register” button and
follow the instructions.
Is
there any charge for using Al Salam Seychelles Online Banking?
No. Currently, we offer the Online Banking service free of charge to all our
customers. However, there may be charges for certain transactions such as fund
transfers, etc. You will be informed about the relevant charges before the
transaction is completed.
What
information is required for Online Banking online registration?
In order to register for Online Banking, you will be asked to enter your
Customer Base/CIF number along with your Identity Card or Passport number,
mobile number registered with the Bank and the Channel Reference Number
provided to you by the Bank upon submitting your Online Banking registration
form to the Bank.
During
the online registration process, if I do not receive the One Time Period (OTP),
what can I do?
You will need to contact our Customer Care Centre or visit the Bank’s branch in
order to ensure that your information registered in our system is updated.
How
do I access Al Salam Seychelles Online Banking?
After completing your online registration, we will enable your Online Banking
access where you will be able to choose your own username and password.
Which
operating systems and internet browsers will I need to access Online Banking?
To access Online Banking our customers will need to have a computer with
internet access and a browser (e.g. Internet Explorer) that supports a 128-bit
encryption.
Minimum requirements:
Hardware: You need a PC with 256 MB RAM, 2 GB Hard Disk Space and 500 MB free space.
Software: You need a browser, preferably Internet Explorer Version 8.0 or higher.
What
is my username and Password for Al Salam Seychelles Online Banking?
During the online registration process, you will be prompted to setup your username
and password. Please ensure that you follow the tips suggested under security
tips.
What
is a OTP?
Online Banking offers its customers a second layer of security through its OTP
feature to enhance the security of your accounts. An OTP is a second level
password required to complete certain sensitive transactions. It is a 6-digit
password that you will receive on your mobile number registered with the Bank.
What
languages does Online Banking support?
Online Banking is currently only available in English.
When
can I access Al Salam Seychelles Online Banking?
With Al Salam Seychelles Online Banking our customers have access to their
personal account information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If there are any
exceptions due to necessary maintenance periods our customers will be informed
through an online notification or SMS.

When
will my transactions affect my account?
Most of the transactions will be executed instantly, while others may take some
processing time. In case your transaction is not executed in a reasonable time,
please contact our Customer Care Centre on 4303103 and provide the transaction
details along with the ‘transaction reference number’.
Why
do I get the message "Your valid session already exists"?
You will get this message if you close the browser window without logging out
of Online Banking and try to log in again within a period of five (5) minutes.
If you are experiencing this issue please try to login after waiting for
another five (5) minutes. If the problem still persists please contact our
Customer Care Centre on 4303103 for help.
What happens if I forget my password?
If you forget your login password you can reset it online from the “Forgot Password” option on the login page.
What happens if I forgot my username?
If you forget your username you should contact our Customer Care Centre on 4303103 for further assistance.
How
do I change my Online Banking password?
To change your password, select the Reset Password link from the Online
Banking User Preference menu. However, in case you have forgotten your
password, just select Reset Password link from the Online Banking
sign-in page. You will need to provide some basic account information such as
your Customer Base/CIF number, Identity Card or passport number etc. where you
will then receive an OTP on your mobile number registered with the Bank. The Online
Banking portal will them prompt you to create a new password.
How
secure is Online Banking?
Security of your financial information is our top priority. The Bank uses the
latest technology with robust security methods, including 128-bits SSL
encryption code, firewalls, access controls, automatic timed log-out and access
blocking in case of repeated incorrect password entries, to ensure the security
and confidentiality of your personal and financial information. Your password
is generated in a very secure way and is known to you only and to prevent any
unauthorized use of your Online Banking account, your Online Banking session is
terminated in cases of inactivity for an extended period of time.
Furthermore, the Bank offers an additional layer of security required when our
customers perform certain sensitive transactions online, where you will need to
enter a six-digit OTP that you will receive via SMS on your registered mobile
number. Our customers also have the option to block their Online Banking access
at any time, which can be unblocked upon your request.
Your Online Banking password and username must be entered each time you log on
to Online Banking.
